Synopsis

Set in ancient times, The Legend of Zu is about the seemingly never-ending conflict between good and evil forces of immortals
within the Zu mountain range of Sichuan, China. As master and disciple, Dawn (Cecilia Cheung) and King Sky (Ekin Cheng) are
the sole members of the Kun Lun clan. In order to further their training, Dawn gives her disciple, who loves her dearly, her
weapon, the Moon Orb, and sends him away. Insomia, having defeated the Wah Shan clan 300 years before, takes the advantage by
destroying Kun Lun. Another 200 years passes before Insomia returns to continue his conquest of the Zu Mountains. The Omei
clan, led by White Brows (Sammo Hung), stands as the last line of defense, along with Point Nirvana. While assisting Omei and
its senior disciple, Red (Louis Koo), King Sky meets Omei disciple Enigma (Cecilia Cheung), the reincarnation of Dawn. In time,
she remembers her past life and love for her former disciple. But not before it's too late. Omei disciple Ying (Jason Wu Jing) and
mortal army general, Joy (Zhang Ziyi), contribute to the fight to save the Zu Mountains.
