Set in Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Las Vegas, Rush Hour 2 reunites Hong Kong Police Chief Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan)
and LAPD detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) with Tucker visiting Hong Kong for a much needed vacation. But upon arrival,
it's discovered that a bomb has exploded in the American Embassy, killing two U.S. Customs agents who had been investigating
a counterfeiting ring. The Hong Kong police suspect that crime lord Ricky Tan (John Lone), head of the Fu Cang Long Triad,
the deadliest gang in China, is behind the blast. Inspector Lee is assigned to crack the case, much to the chagrin of Carter
who is annoyed as he feels his vacation slipping away. The two cops set off in pursuit of Tan with Hu Li (Zhang Ziyi) -- a
senior lieutenant in Tan's organization and the person directly responsible for the Embassy bombing -- attempting to end
their pursuit by all means necessary. As the action and laughs move from China to the United States, the alluring, mysterious
and seemingly corrupt U.S. Secret Service agent Isabella Molina (Roselyn Sanchez) assists our heros in capturing the bad guys.
