2046 North American Premier At Tribeca Film Festival

Last night,
2046 —
director Wong Kar-wai's long-awaited sequel of sorts to his
2000 art-house hit In the Mood for Love,
starring Tony Leung, Zhang Ziyi,
Maggie Cheung,
Chang Chen,
Gong Li,
Carina Lau,
Takuya Kimura,
Faye Wong and
Dong Jie — held its North American
premier screening at the Fourth Annual Tribeca Film Festival.
The film, which recently sealed a North American distribution deal with Sony Pictures Classics,
screened at the festival at the Stuyvesant High School
Auditorium in New York City. In attendance was Ziyi's costar, Tony Leung. Ziyi was unable to attend due to a schedule conflict.

at 8:15pm. Admission is $10.00. Opening on April 19, the Tribeca Film Festival runs through May 1, 2005.

Zhang Ziyi Attends Maybelline China 10th Anniversary Party

Yesterday, Zhang Ziyi, spokesperson for Maybelline China,
was in her hometown of Beijing,
China, to attend company's anniversary party celebrating 10 years the Maybelline brand has been doing
business within the country. Celebrations took place yesterday afternoon at Wang Fu Jing Avenue
("Walking Street"), a large and very popular shopping district within the city.
Also at the party, fans from throughout China were invited and were present to meet, greet and to give gifts to Zhang Ziyi,
one of the country's biggest, most popular stars and one of her nation's most successful ambassadors abroad.

Zhang Ziyi Attends 'Time 100' Dinner In New York

Zhang Ziyi, along with many other world celebrities, political leaders, scientists and more, was in New York last night at a gala
dinner hosted by Time Magazine to celebrate the release of this
week's issue featuring their 2005 'Time 100' list
of the world's most influential people. Zhang Ziyi was at the dinner because, as was previously reported, she was listed on the 'Time 100' list for
the first time this year by the magazine in the category of Artists & Entertainers.
This year's dinner was held at Frederick P. Rose Hall,
Jazz at Lincoln Center.

In its upcoming April 18, 2005, issue, Time Magazine will feature it's
2005 'Time 100', their list
of the world's most influential people. Listed annually, this year's list — with 5 categories: Leaders & Revolutionaries,
Builders & Titans, Artists & Entertainers, Heroes & Icons, and Scientists & Thinkers — will profile the lives and ideas
of the world's most influential people.
Differing from last year's list by focusing more on moral influence rather than political power, this year's 'Time 100' will
include Zhang Ziyi for the first time. Listed in the category of
Artists & Entertainers,
her addition by Time further cements her status as a highly respected and growing phenomenon on the stage of world cinema.

Princess Raccoon To Screen At Cannes

Zhang Ziyi's first ever Japanese production,
Princess Raccoon (aka Operetta Tanukigoten) —
legendary director Suzuki Seijun's new musical, starring
Ziyi as a tanuki ("raccoon dog") that takes human form and falls in love with a young Japanese nobleman played by
Jô Odagiri (aka Joe Odagiri) — will be screened
at the 58th Annual Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.
Though not slated for a competition screening, Princess Raccoon will likely receive its world premier screening at the
festival, which runs from May 11th through 22nd, as an exhibit film. Zhang Ziyi is expected to be in attendance at the
festival on May 20th.
